Peter Anthony Watson, 85, passed away peacefully on October 1, 2021 at CT Hospice.
He was the only child of the late Frederick W. Watson and Alice C. Watson of Short Hills, N.J. Peter was born in New York City and grew up in Orange, N.J. He graduated with a B.S. degree from Yale University in 1958. After college, he worked as an industrial engineer for Procter & Gamble and later for the F&M Schaefer Corporation. In 1961, he married the love of his life, Jeremy (Thompson) Watson who predeceased him at the end of 2020. In 1972, he moved to Connecticut with his family and joined his father-in-law, William M. Thompson in real estate partnership. After Bill’s retirement, Peter managed William M. Thompson Realtors in Guilford for three decades. He served as the President of the Shoreline Board of Realtors during the 1980s. Peter was also active in civic affairs, serving as President of the E.C. Scranton Memorial Library in Madison during its expansion completed in 1989. Peter loved classical music and opera, fine food and wine, vacations to Maine and Florida, and enjoying time with friends and family. He is survived by his son Peter A. Watson, Jr and daughter-in-law Stephanie J. Aeder of New York and New Lebanon, NY.
