Dwight W. Underhill

Dr. Dwight W. Underhill died on February 23, 2022 after an eight-month-long blood cancer challenge. He graduated from Episcopal High School and earned first honors in chemical engineering at Yale, where he was a member of the Tau Beta Pi honorary society. He earned his doctorate of science at Hayward University. He served in the US Army Biological Warfare Center and was a senior fellow on the Nuclear Regulatory Commission.

Dr. Underhill was a Public Health-endowed chair while also serving as a laboratory director at a company in North Carolina. He is survived by his beloved wife, Marilyn Stein (Georing) Underhill, now of State College, PA, and a son, Eric Underhill.
